Terms of registration for Full-Flood Iboga Retreat

🌿 A Sacred Moment

An Iboga ceremony is a profoundly sacred moment that calls for rigorous preparation of both body and mind, allowing you to experience the most beneficial, pleasant, and transformative journey possible.

As shamans entrusted with serving you this sacred plant, we kindly ask you to respect the following guidelines. Acceptance of and adherence to these conditions are essential in order to register for and participate in our Full-Flood Iboga retreat.

Our Full-Flood Iboga retreats are profound shamanic immersions, in which the shamans serve as a bridge between Doctor Iboga—the spirit of the plant—and yourself, initiating a process of deep healing. This shamanic iboga ceremony is unlike a traditional wellness or relaxation retreat. It is an intense healing experience that allows access to your subconscious, enabling the release of repetitive patterns, limiting beliefs, fears, traumas or deeply buried wounds—issues that very few conventional therapies are able to reach. You will quite literally dissolve distorted codes and rewrite new ones. It is a powerful moment of transformation and healing.

An Iboga ceremony can be mentally, emotionally and physically challenging. Doctor Iboga works with great intensity and may push you to your limits. This is why we ask you to arrive ready to follow the shamanic protocol with full commitment and respect—for the plant, the shamans, the team, the other participants, and the sacred space that will host you throughout this sacred journey.

⏰ Arrival and Departure Times

Arrival Time
🏠 Arrival between 3pm and 5pm on Thursday.

Late arrivals may be refused without refund in order to preserve the harmony of the group during this sacred time.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, please inform us as early as possible.

Departure Time
✈ The retreat ends on Monday at midday.

It is essential not to leave the venue before this time, to ensure a complete and safe integration of your experience (physically, mentally, and emotionally), and to maintain the energetic balance of the group until the very end.

Monday morning is a crucial time for closing the process, sharing insights, anchoring the messages received, and ensuring that your energy has fully returned in a stable way.

We also ask that you do not leave the venue before the official end of the retreat, so that you are physically, mentally and emotionally fit to travel safely. The integration process cannot be rushed. Only after Monday’s brunch and the energetic closure of the circle will you be in optimal condition to return, consciously and safely.

➡️ Any early departure must be justified, will not result in a refund, and HIMA accepts no responsibility for any consequences regarding your health, safety or integration.

📴 Phones, Tablets and Computers

This retreat is a screen-free space.

Phones, tablets and computers must be handed in to the team upon arrival, and will be returned on Monday after brunch. This allows for a profound reconnection with oneself and the present moment.

Only family or medical emergencies will be accepted as exceptions. Failure to comply with this rule may result in exclusion from the retreat without refund.

🥗 Meals and Nutrition

Meals are prepared with specific nutritional intention. Each meal plays a role in preparing your body for the ceremony and is an integral part of the healing process.

Food Guidelines:

  • Only eat what is served, at the scheduled times.

  • There is no free access to the kitchen or fridge to prepare or consume other food.

  • If you need to eat outside of mealtimes, please ask the team for permission; they reserve the right to decline if it interferes with the ceremony.

Post-Iboga Meal:

Most meals will be vegetarian. However, for the Iboga integration meal (just after the ceremony), we will prepare a dish with chicken. This is a traditional dish used by shamans to help the body energetically integrate the ceremony and return fully to the body. A chicken of high nutritional quality will be selected for this purpose.

If you are vegan or vegetarian, you may consume only a small portion, but it is considered essential—even for vegans and vegetarians. We therefore ask that if you are vegan, you be open to eating this dish just once. Otherwise, HIMA cannot be held responsible if your body fails to fully reintegrate energetically, nor for any energetic consequences that may affect your physical, mental or emotional recovery.

Even vegan shamans eat this dish exceptionally during an Iboga ceremony. We therefore ask all participants, including vegetarians or vegans, to be willing to consume a small amount of chicken on that day.

➡️ If this does not suit you, HIMA cannot be held responsible for incomplete integration and any physical, emotional or energetic consequences.

Food Allergies:

Please notify us upon registration, and no later than 72 hours before your arrival. Beyond this deadline, we cannot guarantee adapted meals, and no refund may be requested. The team will do its best to accommodate your needs while respecting the nutritional protocols of the ceremony.

🪵 Taking Iboga

The amount of Iboga you take is determined in connection with your body and your intention. In HIMA’s process, it is your body that "asks" for the amount of Iboga required for healing (always within a medically safe range). This is why it is essential to arrive on Thursday to prepare for the ceremony on Friday.

You are asked to strictly respect the amount of Iboga that your body calls for. A precise protocol is followed for Iboga intake. If you do not follow this protocol, HIMA cannot be held responsible for the outcome of your ceremony or your transformation.

If, for any reason, you do not complete the full amount of Iboga that your body requested, HIMA cannot be held responsible for the results of your ceremony and no refund will be issued. Your body knows exactly what is needed to meet your intentions. The shamans are there to ensure that this amount is appropriate for your body and that the ceremony is conducted safely. HIMA’s protocols are safe and have proven effective for many participants. We ask that you come to this retreat ready to trust and follow HIMA’s protocol, to ensure the best possible outcome for your ceremony.

It is strictly forbidden to leave the sacred space or the retreat venue during the Iboga ceremony. You must remain in the ceremony space until the end of the ceremony. If you fail to respect this rule, HIMA cannot be held responsible for any consequences affecting your safety or health. Leaving the ceremony space in the middle of the process can have serious repercussions. We ask you to respect the shamans, the plant, and the team caring for you, and to follow their instructions to the letter. We are professionals, and we are here to support you and ensure that your ceremony is as safe and effective as possible.

An Iboga ceremony can be very challenging. It is a sacred time during which you will encounter a spirit of nature who will reveal what lies in your subconscious, in order to release it. For some, this may not be easy. We ask that you do not give up and that you trust yourself and the team supporting you. Our on-site team, including the shamans, will be there to guide, reassure and answer your questions. However, you are also asked to be courageous and determined to go through with your healing. If you decide to withdraw midway or leave the sacred space, this will be entirely at your own risk in terms of safety and health. HIMA and its team cannot be held responsible for the failure of your Iboga retreat, nor for any resulting consequences to your health. No refund will be possible in such cases.

You are asked to strictly respect the integration time of the ceremony and to remain in the sacred space until the shamans give you permission to leave.

🏡 Retreat Venue

Iboga retreats take place in comfortable venues surrounded by nature.

You will be accommodated for the entire duration of the retreat in a shared sacred space, which will also serve as the ceremonial space. This will be your place of rest, sharing, transformation and healing. It is essential that participants settle in and cohabitate from the beginning in order to create an energetic and collective space that supports the success of the Iboga ceremony. This shared setting becomes a true healing cocoon.

You will be asked to share this space with the other participants throughout the stay. Other areas of the venue are intended for rest, personal care, introspection, and communal meals.

The main house includes:

  • Shared spaces (bathrooms, toilets)

  • A kitchen (reserved for the team)

  • A dining area

  • An outdoor pool and several relaxing spots for integration and rest

The surrounding nature provides a peaceful environment, ideal for reconnection with yourself. You are encouraged to walk, breathe and centre yourself in silence and mindfulness during your free time.

Rules of Conduct at the Venue

You are kindly asked to respect the premises with the utmost care:

  • Leave each space as clean as you found it

  • Wash your dishes immediately after use

  • Leave bathrooms and toilets clean after use

  • Show respect to the hosts, other participants, the HIMA team and the shamans

Please note that the HIMA team is not present to clean or handle logistics, but to accompany you through a deep shamanic healing process. Participation in the collective life of the retreat is an integral part of the experience.

➡️ In case of non-compliance with the rules of the venue, the people or the sacred ceremonial framework, HIMA reserves the right to exclude you from the retreat without the possibility of a refund.

🍵 Pre-Retreat Dietary Preparation

Rigorous dietary preparation is required to attend the retreat. It prepares your body, digestive system, nervous system and energetic structure to receive Iboga in the best possible conditions.

Upon registration, you will receive a detailed document by email outlining the necessary steps.

These include:

  • Ceasing all alcohol, cannabis, tobacco, coffee/black tea, and energy drinks at least 3 days before the retreat (ideally 7 days)

  • Eliminating dairy products, refined sugars, processed and industrial foods

  • Favouring a simple, nourishing and light diet

Failure to follow this preparation may result in a more difficult Iboga intake, stronger side effects, weaker integration, and thus a less fluid and effective experience.

➡️ If you register less than two weeks before the retreat, you will be required to sign a waiver confirming that you have read these instructions and commit to following them despite the short notice. In this case, HIMA cannot be held responsible for any difficulties linked to shortened preparation.
